The left-hander also matched his own record for most sixes in a single innings for Hyderabad, smashing ten maximums during his stay at the crease.
Opening alongside Travis Head, Abhishek began cautiously, showing intent without taking unnecessary risks. The pair put together a steady start in the powerplay before shifting gears. Once settled, Abhishek began targeting the bowlers, especially the spin attack, accelerating the scoring rate with clean hitting.
After Head’s dismissal, Ishan Kishan joined the charge and ensured momentum was not lost. The duo took apart the middle overs, punishing anything loose and rotating strike effectively.
