Kongsuk Dominates With Devastating Finish as Mongkoldetlek Marks Triumphant Return at ONE Friday Fights 156

ONE Friday Fights 156 delivered another thrilling evening of Muay Thai action at Lumpinee Stadium, where two experienced Thai competitors produced standout performances to strengthen their reputations on the global stage.

The main event featured two time Lumpinee Stadium World Champion Kongsuk Sitsarawatsuer taking on highly regarded Uzbek newcomer Khakimov Anisjon. While the contest began as a measured tactical battle, Kongsuk gradually imposed his game plan and eventually secured an impressive stoppage victory.

During the opening round, both athletes spent time assessing each other’s movement and timing. Kongsuk focused on attacking the midsection whenever opportunities appeared, often catching kicks before firing back with punches to the body. His patient approach slowly began to wear down his opponent.

The Uzbek fighter enjoyed some success in the second frame, landing a sharp right hand that briefly disrupted Kongsuk’s momentum. However, the Thai veteran remained composed and quickly returned to targeting the body, steadily regaining control of the contest.

The decisive moment arrived in the final round. A perfectly placed left kick landed flush to the torso and sent Anisjon to the canvas. Although the young fighter rose and attempted to continue, Kongsuk sensed the opportunity to finish the contest. He immediately pressed forward with another attack to the body followed by a relentless combination of punches that forced a second knockdown.

The referee stepped in at 2:17 of the third round, awarding Kongsuk his second straight stoppage triumph. The victory improved his professional record to an impressive 70 wins and 21 defeats while bringing him closer to earning a coveted contract with ONE Championship.

Earlier in the evening, fellow Lumpinee Stadium World Champion Mongkoldetlek Por Pim-on made a memorable return after a four year absence from the international spotlight.

Facing Russian debutant Ruslan Tuktarov, Mongkoldetlek demonstrated his experience and composure throughout the three round encounter. Tuktarov started brightly with fast combinations and even connected with an eye catching spinning high kick. Nevertheless, the Thai veteran gradually shifted the battle into close range where he held a clear advantage.

Using effective knees, constant pressure, and excellent clinch work, Mongkoldetlek controlled the latter stages of the fight and secured a unanimous decision from the judges.

The result represented the 125th victory of his remarkable career and served as a powerful reminder of the quality that has made him one of Thailand’s most respected Muay Thai athletes.
