Australia Complete T20I Clean Sweep with Dominant Win Over Bangladesh

Australia wrapped up a convincing 3-0 T20I series victory over Bangladesh with a commanding seven wicket win in the final match, completing the chase with a remarkable nine overs remaining. The visitors laid the foundation for success through an outstanding bowling performance before captain Mitchell Marsh produced a blistering half century to finish the job in style.

After being asked to bat, Bangladesh struggled to gain any momentum against a disciplined Australian attack. Left arm seamer Spencer Johnson was the standout performer, delivering one of the most economical spells ever recorded by an Australian men’s T20I bowler. His figures of 2 wickets for just 6 runs from four overs put Bangladesh under immediate pressure and prevented any chance of building partnerships.

Australia’s dominance began early. Bangladesh lost wickets regularly during the powerplay and found themselves in serious trouble after slipping to 22 for 3. Johnson struck twice in quick succession, while Nathan Ellis added another breakthrough to leave the hosts searching for stability.

Stand in captain Towhid Hridoy was the lone bright spot in Bangladesh’s innings. Showing resilience amid the collapse, he remained unbeaten on 61 from 51 deliveries. His innings included six boundaries and three sixes, helping his side recover from a dire position. However, with little support from the other batters, Bangladesh could only reach 109 for 8 from their 20 overs.

Australia’s bowlers maintained control throughout the innings. Ellis and Adam Zampa claimed two wickets each, while Zampa also reached the milestone of 350 international wickets during the match. Nikhil Chaudhary and the rest of the attack ensured Bangladesh never escaped their grip.

Chasing a modest target, Australia came out with aggressive intent. Marsh immediately took charge, attacking Bangladesh’s frontline pace bowlers and putting the result beyond doubt within the first few overs. His explosive knock of 60 from only 28 balls featured a barrage of boundaries and powerful hitting all around the ground.

Josh Inglis contributed 17 during a brisk opening partnership worth 54 runs before falling to Nasum Ahmed. Marsh continued to dominate, taking on both experience and pace with equal confidence. His innings included eleven boundaries before he eventually departed.

By then, the contest was effectively over. Cooper Connolly added useful runs, while Tim David finished proceedings with two towering sixes. The emphatic victory underlined Australia’s superiority throughout the series and highlighted the depth and balance within their T20 squad.
