The Utah Jazz wrapped up the Salt Lake City Summer League in dominant fashion with a 103-69 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The result gave Utah a perfect 3-0 record in the tournament, while Oklahoma City finished 0-3.
Even without No. 2 overall pick Darryn Peterson, Cody Williams and Ace Bailey, who were rested, the Jazz delivered one of the strongest performances of the event. Utah’s depth was on full display as seven players scored in double figures, allowing the hosts to control the game from start to finish.
The key stretch came before halftime, when Utah went on a 42-25 run from the 4:25 mark of the first quarter. That surge effectively took the game away from Oklahoma City, and the Jazz continued to build on their advantage after the break. Utah outscored the Thunder 50-32 in the second half and led by as many as 37 points.
Jonas Aidoo was the standout performer for Utah, finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. His presence inside helped the Jazz dominate the paint, where they held a 46-28 scoring advantage. Max Abmas and Matthew Cleveland added 15 points each, while Hayden Gray, Justin Harmon and Eric Dixon also made important contributions.
Utah’s shooting was another major factor. The Jazz shot 54.8% from the field and 48.1% from three point range, hitting 13 of their 27 attempts from beyond the arc. Their ball movement, spacing and balanced scoring made it difficult for Oklahoma City to build any defensive rhythm.
For the Thunder, Josh Dix and Steven Ashworth scored 16 points each, while Brooks Barnhizer added a 15 point, 10 rebound double double. However, Oklahoma City lacked consistency and also rested rookie first-round picks Aday Mara and Bennett Stirtz.
The win was an impressive statement from Utah’s young group. Without several headline players, the Jazz still looked organised, deep and confident. As both teams now move toward the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Utah will carry strong momentum, while Oklahoma City will be searching for sharper execution and better starts.
