UFC Fight Night Edmonton Receives Six New Bouts

UFC Fight Night in Edmonton continues to take shape, with six additional contests confirmed for the event scheduled for October 17 at Rogers Place in Canada.

The show will be headlined by an important welterweight clash featuring Joaquin Buckley and Canadian contender Mike Malott. Buckley, representing St. Louis, Missouri, enters the contest with a professional record of 21 wins and eight defeats. Malott will have the advantage of competing in front of his home supporters while bringing a record of 14 victories, two losses and one draw into the Octagon.

The evening will also feature an intriguing women’s flyweight battle in the co main attraction. New York’s Erin Blanchfield is set to face Canadian standout Jasmine Jasudavicius in a matchup that could have major implications for the division.

Blanchfield has built an impressive career record of 14 wins against only two defeats and remains one of the leading names in the weight class. Jasudavicius, meanwhile, owns 15 victories and four losses and will look to capitalise on the energy of the Edmonton crowd.

With another six fights now joining the programme, the October event is developing into a packed night of UFC action for Canadian mixed martial arts fans.
