Nate Diaz Joins May 16 UnderCard at Intuit Dome

Nate Diaz will return to the octagon for a five-round MMA showdown with Mike Perry on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, serving as part of the star-studded undercard for Ronda Rousey’s much-anticipated comeback against Gina Carano.

The bout, set at 170lbs, is expected to be a thrilling clash of styles, with both fighters known for their relentless pressure. Diaz, a fan favorite with a history of memorable battles, including two bouts with Conor McGregor, is eager to make a statement with his return. “Glad to be back in action. It’s time,” Diaz said. “I’ve got plans for the next 10 years. Time to set the bar again and keep taking over.”

Diaz’s opponent, Mike Perry, also a former UFC fighter, brings a similar fiery energy to the fight. Perry, who recently faced Jake Paul in a boxing match, aims to prove himself in the MMA spotlight once again.

The event will also feature heavy-hitting names, with Ronda Rousey taking on Gina Carano in a highly anticipated comeback match and Francis Ngannou facing Philippe Lins.

Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, teased the magnitude of the event, stating, “We’re set to break records again with the biggest viewership in MMA history, featuring Diaz vs Perry on the same night as Rousey vs Carano and Ngannou vs Lins.”

This mega night of action is shaping up to be one of the most explosive in combat sports, with the first press conference already sparking anticipation for a night filled with high-intensity competition.
