Sunrisers Hyderabad have taken full control of the IPL 2026 batting leaderboard, with both Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan rising to the top of the Orange Cap standings after their latest outing against Rajasthan Royals. The Hyderabad side, known for their orange identity, now boast the top two run scorers of the season, underlining their dominance with the bat.
Kishan produced one of the standout innings of the tournament, smashing 91 off just 44 deliveries. That explosive knock saw him climb past 22 players in the rankings in a single leap. Klaasen, who has been consistent throughout the campaign, added a quickfire 40 from 26 balls, which helped him move up from third position to sit alongside his teammate at the summit.
The reshuffle at the top came after a surprising failure from teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Entering the match as the leading run scorer, he was dismissed off the very first ball, losing his grip on the Orange Cap. Despite that setback, he remains among the leading performers and, along with Klaasen and Kishan, is part of the first group of players to cross the 200 run mark this season.
Rajasthan’s Yashasvi Jaiswal, currently placed fifth, managed to add only a single run during the contest, while Dhruv Jurel, who was also in the top six, was unable to open his account. Their struggles further highlighted the control SRH had over the game.
In the bowling charts, Ravi Bishnoi continues to hold second place in the Purple Cap standings despite going wicketless in this match. However, his teammate Jofra Archer made gains, picking up two wickets to move into fourth position with seven scalps from five games.
From the Hyderabad camp, Harsh Dubey remains their only representative in the top ten wicket takers, although he did not improve his tally in this fixture. Eshan Malinga made progress by claiming two wickets, taking his season count to five. Meanwhile, debutants Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain continue to impress after announcing themselves with four wicket hauls, keeping pressure on the leading bowlers.
