Rifdean Secures Fourth Straight ONE Championship Victory

Malaysian atomweight talent Rifdean continued his impressive rise in ONE Championship after collecting a fourth consecutive victory with a unanimous decision triumph over Petkiattisak.

The 23 year old entered the contest with confidence and immediately took control from the opening round. Rifdean applied relentless pressure throughout the encounter, connecting with clean punches, sharp kicks and dangerous elbow strikes that kept his opponent on the defensive for most of the fight. His aggressive approach and consistent attacks allowed him to dominate the three round battle and comfortably earn the judges’ approval at the end of the contest.

Even with another victory added to his growing record, Rifdean was far from pleased with his overall display. The Perak born fighter admitted he expected far more from himself and felt his movement and pace were below his usual standards.

According to Rifdean, he struggled physically during the match and noticed a lack of sharpness compared to his earlier appearances in the promotion. He explained that his recovery did not feel normal and believed it affected his speed and activity inside the ring. Despite controlling the fight, he felt he failed to showcase the energetic style that fans have become familiar with.

The Malaysian prospect also revealed disappointment over his inability to fully utilise his elbow attacks, which have previously been one of his strongest weapons. While satisfied with securing another important result, he made it clear that improvements are needed before his next outing.

The latest success further strengthens Rifdean’s reputation following earlier victories against Mohamed Ridho, Bernueng Sor Salacheep and Nongbia LaoLaneXang. With four straight wins now under his belt, the young fighter is eager to remain active and is already targeting another appearance in July as he aims to secure bigger opportunities within ONE Championship.

Elsewhere, rising strawweight star Adam Rakib also extended his winning streak with a unanimous decision victory over French competitor Enzo Clarisse.

The 18 year old produced another lively performance over three rounds to register his third straight win in the organisation. Adam previously defeated Walid Snoussi and Toma Kuroda, continuing his rapid emergence as one of Malaysia’s brightest young martial arts prospects.
