British heavyweight announces August 1 fight in Dublin for warm-up before Anthony Joshua clash in November

Tyson Fury has officially confirmed his next appearance inside the ring, revealing that he will compete in Dublin on August 1 as preparations continue for his highly anticipated showdown with Anthony Joshua later this year.

The British heavyweight shared the news through social media, posting a training video from Thailand where he has already resumed camp. Alongside the footage, Fury signaled his intention to return to competition in Ireland, generating excitement among boxing fans eager to see the former world champion back in action.

While the identity of his opponent has not yet been disclosed, the contest is expected to serve as an important stepping stone before his scheduled meeting with Joshua in November. The all British heavyweight clash has been one of the most talked about matchups in boxing for years, and both fighters are now moving closer to finally sharing the ring.

Joshua himself is set to compete first, taking on Albanian contender Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25. Assuming both men come through their respective assignments successfully, attention will quickly turn toward their massive encounter later in the year.

The August event in Dublin is already set to feature local favorite Pierce O’Leary against Mark Chamberlain, with Fury likely to headline the card and bring added global attention to the occasion.

Fury enters the bout carrying strong momentum from his most recent outing on April 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. On that night, he delivered a dominant performance against Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov. The former champion controlled the action from start to finish, earning a convincing points victory. Two judges scored the contest 120 to 108, while the third returned a score of 119 to 109.

With another contest now confirmed, Fury’s path toward the long awaited Joshua showdown is officially underway.
