Jaosuayai Eyes Fresh Start as He Returns to Kickboxing at The Inner Circle

Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi believes he has finally solved the puzzle that has affected his recent performances as he prepares for an important flyweight kickboxing contest against Yuan Pengjie at The Inner Circle on June 5.

The event will take place at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok and will be streamed live for ONE Championship members. For the Thai striker, this matchup represents far more than another appearance inside the ring. It offers an opportunity to reset his career and prove that he remains one of the promotion’s most dangerous finishers.

At just 24 years old, Jaosuayai has already built an impressive professional résumé with 60 victories and 25 defeats. Since joining ONE Championship, he has earned eight wins, six of which came by stoppage. However, recent results have not gone his way, marking the first difficult stretch of his career in several years.

Rather than blaming a loss of confidence, Jaosuayai points to the physical demands of competing across multiple weight categories. Over the past two years, he frequently shifted between flyweight and strawweight, a process that placed considerable strain on his body. While his latest defeat came in the flyweight division, he believes the long term effects of constant weight adjustments had already begun to impact his performances.

Before this challenging period, Jaosuayai enjoyed remarkable success inside ONE Championship. He won eight of his first ten appearances, secured a lucrative six figure contract with an impressive victory over Denis Puric, and later produced a memorable head kick finish against Nakrob Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 32.

Now settled at flyweight, the Thai standout feels he has found the right balance and is determined to move forward with renewed focus.

Another intriguing aspect of this contest is his return to kickboxing. It will be the first time in nearly five years that Jaosuayai competes under kickboxing rules. Prior to joining ONE Championship, he gained valuable experience in Japan, where he competed six times against seasoned opponents and enjoyed notable success. One of his most memorable achievements came in his kickboxing debut, when he reached the final of a K 1 tournament after defeating two opponents on the same evening.

Jaosuayai believes the format perfectly suits his style, allowing him to fully showcase his speed, movement, and attacking creativity. As he prepares to face Yuan Pengjie, fans can expect a smarter and more composed version of the exciting Thai striker, one determined to combine calculated decision making with his natural fighting instincts.
